Ways you can honor Daniel's memory:
One day at a time.
Daniel James Fisher, 67, lovingly known to most as “Danny,” passed away peacefully in his home, leaving behind a life defined by kindness, faith, perseverance, and a deep love for others.
Danny was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mabel Jean Fisher, and by his brothers, William (“Billy”) and David Fisher. He is survived by his sister-in-laws, Cindy Fisher-Whitney and Carol Fisher; his beloved nieces and nephews; and two special young friends, Emma and Maddy, who always brought a smile to his face; and many lifelong friends who loved him dearly.
Danny dedicated much of his working life to serving others, beginning as an auto body repair technician, then driving tour buses and metro buses, and ultimately spending his later years as an 18-wheeler driver before retiring. He took great pride in his work and was known for his dependability, strong work ethic, and steady, reliable presence.
One of the most meaningful chapters of Danny’s life was his involvement with the Aldine AA group. Through this community, he found strength, healing, and lifelong friendships that profoundly changed his life. The support and fellowship he experienced there helped shape the man he became.
In his free time, Danny enjoyed watching football, Marvel movies, and crime shows. He had a special love for animals, especially wolves, which reflected his gentle and loyal nature. He cherished time spent with those he cared about and always made room in his heart for others.
Danny loved God and knew Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He was preparing to be baptized and to rededicate his life to Christ, a powerful testament to the faith that guided him and the hope that filled his heart.
Danny will be remembered for his faith, big heart, sense of humor, and the love he gave so freely. His presence brought comfort, laughter, and warmth to those around him, and his memory will live on in the many lives he touched.
At this time, no services will be held.
