Recuerdos

Russell Brian Clark was a vibrant soul and unmistakably unique. Born on December 31, 1963, in Los Angeles, CA, Russell was a man who embraced life with an infectious enthusiasm that was hard to ignore and even harder to forget. Russell spent nearly three decades working at Joe Myers Ford, where he mastered the art of finance and eventually retired as a Director. Over the years, he was known for providing sagely advice—albeit unsolicited—and sharing a seemingly endless repertoire of fun facts, opinions, and stories, delivered in a volume only he could command with such unapologetic confidence. His humor was distinctly raunchy and irreverent, a brand not universally celebrated but deeply cherished by those closest to him. Wise and whimsical, Russell had hobbies that mirrored his eclectic personality. He was an avid reader, indulging in a wide range of literature that fueled his formidable intellect. This bookish charm meshed curiously with his love for television game shows, especially his ritualistic devotion to "Jeopardy." Russell relished competing with his sister Jennifer, quizzing himself—often vocally—on the breadth of worldly knowledge. His fascination with skies and aircraft was boundless, and every sports broadcast became an occasion for enthusiastic commentary, illustrating his irrepressible zest for competition and strategy. To balance his dynamism was a watchful eye on expenditures, making him a business owner’s worst nightmare—a term playfully echoed by many who attempted to part with his hard-earned cash. Russell Brian Clark's life is to be celebrated on November 10, 2024, at Spring Creek BBQ in Shenandoah, TX, where his family and friends will gather in fellowship, sharing stories over a great meal, just the way he would want. His witty tales, remarkable insights, and booming laughter remind us that his spirit is neither confined by time nor silence. Cheers to a life well-lived in every candid, loud, and utterly unforgettable moment.

About 14 years ago I met Russ for the first time when Brittany and I became closer and closer as friends. I will never forget how welcoming, awkward and funny he was in that moment! He LOOOOVED lounging and watching his shows but, he truly loved to socialize and brag on his Brittany whenever he got the chance. Spending a lot of time with Brittany in our younger years, meant seeing Russ a lot as well. He always greeted me with a smile (sometimes a hug) and never forgetting to ask how everyone was/is doing. I will forever cherish the memories I do have and I will forever hold Brittany close to my heart. For as long as I can remember it was always "Brittany & her dad"... to truly know Russ, was to love him! No matter what he was going through, he made sure to never burden that on anyone else or to never let it show. I loved that about him. We will miss the sunshine he brought when he was around. Rest in peace. Brittany, Tyler, Emmy & Miles... I love you all SO much .
